New Mexico
Program Areas
New Mexico is divided into six geographic areas which operate year-round Special Olympics programs:

Area 1 covers the Northwest Region of the state and serves the following counties: San Juan.

Area 2 covers the Northest Region of the state and serves the following counties: Santa Fe, Los Alamos, Taos, Mora, Colfax, Union, Harding, San Miguel, Rio Arriba, and Guadalupe.

Area 3 covers the Southwest Region of the state and serves the following counties: Dona Ana, Luna, Hidalgo, Grant, Catron, Otero, and Sierra.
 
Area 4 covers the Southeast Region of the state and serves the following counties: Eddy, Lea, Lincoln, Chaves, Roosevelt, Curry, DeBaca, and Quay.
  
Area 5 covers the Central Region of the state and serves the following counties: Bernalillo, Sandoval, Socorro, Valencia, and Torrance.
   
Area 6 covers the Western Region of the state and serves the following counties: Cibola and McKinley.

Inspire Greatness
Special Olympics Rio Rancho is a delegation of Special Olympics New Mexico.  We are a non-profit organization that provides athletic training and competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our athletes enjoy camaraderie and gain a sense of pride and accomplishment through participating in our events.
